Pumpkin in Coconut Creamy Gravy
Ingredient
Portion 6
  • 500gm Sweet Pumpkin
  • 300ml Coconut Milk
  • 3 pieces of Turmeric Leaf
  • 5 pieces of Chilly Api
  • 2 Tsp of Salt
Preparing the ingredient
10 minutes
  • Peel off the hard shell of the pumpkin, cut into cube of about  1 inch.
  • Rag into big pieces the turmeric leaf
  • Crush the chilli
How to cook?
10 minutes
  • Preheat a cooking pot and add in coconut milk and crush chilli mix to near boil
  • Add in the pumpkin and lets boil for 10 minutes
  • Add in the turmeric leaf and salt to taste
  • Let its simmer for another 3 minutes
A very simple dish with simple ingredient. No shallots ,onion or garlic are added for this very rustic and traditional dishes of the Malay. Adding the above will alter the natural taste of pumpkin and aromatic turmeric leaves.Ready to serve with rice or porridge
Squido Sweet Sauce Sambal
    Ingredient
    Portion for 4
    • 500 gm Medium Size Squid
    • 2 Tomatoes
    • 1 Tbsp Chilli Paste
    • 2 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup
    • 3 Shallots
    • 3 Cloves of Garlic
    • Spices - 4 buds of Clove, 1/2 inch Cinnamon stick.
    • 2 Tsp Sugar
    • 1/2 Lemon
    • 2 Tsp Salt
    • 3 Tbsp Vege Cooking Oil
    Preparing the Ingredient
    15 minutes
    • Clean, peel off the outer skin of squid and cut into rings.
    • Grind in with a food blender, tomatoes,chilli paste,sugar,shallots and garlic
    • Squeeze the lemon for juice
    How to cook it?
    12 minutes
    • In  preheat wok or pot add in the cooking oil,then clove and cinnamon stick - keep at medium heat.
    • Add in all the grind blended ingredient and stir the mix thoroughly and near boil
    • Add in the squid and let it cook for about 5 minutes
    • Put in the tomato ketchup,sugar and salt to taste, then the lemon juice
    • Lets it simmer for another 3-4 minutes
    Ready to serve

    1. Main hebat bunyi eh namo gulai masak lomak labu ni dalam bahaso Oang Putih... kok ado kenkawan eh dengan sambal gesek lai melantun ni makan dongan nasi paneh2...

    2. Cam tu lah nampaknyo!! bunyi tu nak kono..nyobut pun, seliuh lidah. Memang kalau dgn samba gesek ko..ikan masin ko lagi bopoluh dek eh..
