Masak Lemak Lada Api - Gulai Telur Itik Daun Kunyit
Ingredient
Portion: 6
- 6 Duck Eggs
- 500 ml of Fresh Coconut Milk
- 3-5 Green Turmeric Leaf
- 2 cm fresh Turmeric
- 3-5 pieces of Green Chillies
- 100 gm of Chilly Api
- 200 ml of water
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 piece of Asam Gelugor
Preparing the ingredient
- Boil the duck egg for 30 minutes, immerse it in cold water to obtain a nice hard boil and peel off the shell - keep it aside
- Pound the fresh turmeric,chilly api and salt to fine mix
- Cut into halve the Green Chillies
- Shred the turmeric leaf in big pieces
How To Cook?
- Heat a cooking pot or a wok
- Add in the pounded ingredient
- Then add in the fresh coconut milk
- Stir gently to ensure thorough mixing of the ingredient and to prevent cuddling of the coconut milk for about 12-15 minutes
- Add in water while continue stirring until boil
- Upon the 1st sign of boiling add in the hard boil duck eggs
- Add in the turmeric leaf
- Add in Asam Gelugor
- While continuously stirring add in the halve green chilly.
- You may add salt to suit your taste
- Upon fully boil, shut of the heat
A good masak lemak must have a shiny and smooth texture of the gravy as pictured above.
